There are no longer any crosses in Malvern Priory.

Until recently there were 11 crosses outside at the East End of the Priory. The remaining bases are in the photographs

All bar one of the crosses disintegrated with time and a decision was taken by the Priory to save the last one, that belonging to 2nd Lieut Richard Hartland Woods. (Photo 2 shows the base of this cross in detail) That cross was sent to a museum. The guide I spoke to said it was sent to Woolwich / Royal Artillery Museum*. He did not know when.

In the place of the missing crosses there is a plaque on the Priory Wall over the remaining bases.

Temporary wooden crosses from the First World War graves of these soldiers stood here for many years from 1922
