Henry W. Blathwayt (cousin of Robert Blathwayt of Dyrham) killed in action 11 Nov 1917, buried in Orival Wood Cemetery, Flesquieres. Henry’s wife, Elizabeth, was staying at Dyrham when the news came, and for the rest of her life she could not bear to hear the screech of the Dyrham peacocks, as it brought back that moment.
