The cross is high up on the north west wall of the Memorial Chapel and is difficult to access and to read tags. Bernard Hedley Charlton also appears on the war memorial in front of the church. It is to the right of the window and to the left of the window is a second battlefield cross. Further details in blog report.

Richard Godolphin Hume Chaloner

Details on cross: The cross is high up on the north west wall of the Memorial Chapel and is difficult to access and to read tags. Chaloner appears on the war memorial in front of the church but the regimental allocation is incorrect. It is to the left of the window and to the right of the window is a second battlefield cross for Bernard Hedley Charlton. Further details in blog report.

There are TWO Battlefield Crosses for Bernard Hedley Charlton.
The original cross was located in the church at Tow Law, but was subsequently moved to the Green Howards Museum.
